"Zixin" (It means "Self Confidence" in Chinese)
NAV4 Bot (Co-owned by all of the Gongen characters)
Medium Bot
*AI: The NAV4 is a fully artificially intelligent bot,
capable of self-directed action and learning new skills
over time.
*Sturdy
The NAV4 is one of the most successful pilot bots ever
produced, and the line lasted from 2280 to 2340 with
relatively minor changes. Even though the newer NavIbot-
9 series is positively superior in every way, pilots across the
Outer Rim and even on Earth swear by their trusty NAV4,
often one that has been in the family for four generations.
The bots have almost a cult around them, as their owners
tend to consider themselves part of a special and exclusive
club. It has been rumored that when enemy pilots swoop
by each other on attack runs, each will check to see if a
NAV4 is present in the others cockpit, and if one is, give
the other a wide berth unless forced into conflict.
In form, the NAV4 is a typical ‘minimalist’ humanoid bot,
with no attempt made to soften its mechanical nature. Its
face is in the ‘gas-mask’ style common in the late 2300s.
It is designed to interface physically with any vehicle
control system – that is, it grips the controls in its hands
and pushes pedals with its feet, rather than using a direct
neural interface.
Despite being designed for piloting and navigation, NAV4s
have been turned to other uses, often being programmed
to work as personal aids, engineer’s assistants or, in some
cases, bodyguards, though they are very ill-suited for this
due to their slow rate of locomotion.
