VenusControlled by: Earthers Mean Surface Temperature (Terraformed): 94 C / 201 F Gravity: Earth Standard It is home for some of the largest ship yards in the solar system, as well as some of the most advanced research stations. The shipyard is in orbit around the planet; The Venusian Shipyards or sometimes called Neith. Only the iCom shipyards on Earth's Luna can compete with its productivity. Xe-Labs maintains an expensive research facility in low orbit around Venus. They have been terraforming the planet by bombarding it with huge ice chunks from the asteroid belt and by importing gasses from Io and Titan. Oxygen generators are pumping away on the surface of the planet. It is rumored that a well protected human in a space suit can survive for short periods on the surface due to Xe-Labs efforts but only in the higher elevations. The atmosphere is now only 40 times as dense as Earth's compared to the 90 times that it originally was. The Terraforming efforts continue it is said. It is also rumored that the Xe-Labs corporation has a hidden base somewhere on the peak of Maxwell Montes on Ishtar Terra. Attachments:

EarthControlled by: Earthers Mean Surface Temperature: 10 C / 50 F Gravity: Earth Standard Nearly 80% of the population lives in towering megacities called Plexes that reach more than 2 kilometers into the sky. The most powerful live on the highest spires while the lowest regions are much much worse. Many of these lower inhabitants never see natural sunlight. In the true center of these Plexes reside the oldest parts of the megacity where many undocumented people eek out an existence. There are also the Asian Wastes that were once inhabited by the ancestors of the Gongen people. It is a dead and blighted land thanks to the many nuclear disasters of 2071. It is said that "people" still dwell here in some horrible fashion. Attachments:

Earth's Luna (The Moon)Controlled by: Earthers Mean Surface Temperature: -17 C / 1 F Gravity: Very Low It is one of the largest moons in the solar system. In 2043 the first settlement was built on Luna. Since the war with the Gongen and Mavericks began the importance of Luna increased (since Earth lost many of its other moon bases throughout the solar system). The CGC that runs the government of Earth uses Luna as an enormouse military staging area and the shipyards here rival the shipyards of Venus. Several millions of people now live on Luna. On Luna the richest dwell up to 2 kilometers beneath the surface, while the poor live on the surface. There are many mines on Luna. It is rumored however that after so much aggressive mining that Luna will eventually run out of mineral deposits needed for new ships. The temperature fluctuates between -156 C to 121 C (-249 F to 250 F). Attachments:

Gongen (Mars)Controlled by: The Gongen Mean Surface Temperature: -63 C / -81 F Gravity: Very Low In 2076 the first settlements for civilians were built on Gongen. Cities nestled beneath large habitation domes (2 kilometers high and dozens of kilometers in diameter) started to pop up over the surface of the planet. Gongen means Mountain Deity in Shinto and it was inspired by Olympus Mons. In 2364 Gongen announced its independence from Earth. After 20 years war broke out. In 2388 Earther and Gongen forces met at the Battle of Phobos, the largest military battle in human history. The surrounding landscape around the habitation domes now have hardy plants growing on the surface of the planet thanks to ongoing terraforming efforts. Attachments:

Gongen's DeimosControlled By: The Gongen Gravity: Microgravity Deimos is one of the smallest moons in the solar system, and it is actually a captured asteroid. It was only settled after the Gongen declared their independence from Earth. At that time Earth controlled the other moon Phobos. The base on Deimos is called The Rikaru Facility and it is a large boot camp for Gongen troops. The moon has been mined out extensively and there are hundreds of kilometers of tunnels beneath its surface. It has a shipyard that was abandoned after the Battle of Phobos (since they acquired Earth's old shipyards there). Deimos is considered Gongen's first line of defense against any future attacks by Earth or any other faction. Attachments:

Gongen's PhobosControlled by: The Gongen Gravity: Microgravity Phobos is closer to Gongen than Deimos is, and it is the closest moon to its planet in the solar system. It is much larger than Deimos. Earth had a shipyard and base here until it was lost to The Gongen at the Battle of Phobos. The remains of the Earth shipyards here are blasted ruins still after the Battle of Phobos, but there are plans set in motion to return them to their former glory. Attachments:

Asteroid Belt: CeresControlled by: Mavericks (The Nest) Gravity: Microgravity Ceres is the largest of the asteroids in the Asteroid Belt. It was also the first to be settled by humans. It is 1,000 kilometers in diameter. It is warmer than most asteroids because it absorbs the Sun's light and because of its molten core. Ceres Station is located here. It was a way-point for those traveling from Earth or Gongen to the moons of Jupiter and Saturn before the wars broke out. Earth used to have a lot of research facilities here until The Mavericks took them over during the Battle of Phobos. Ceres Station is an example of fly by the seat of your pants engineering without an overarching master plan for the design of the place. Many of the systems in place here date back to 2132 or 2195 and while outdated still function thanks to the stalwart Maverick engineers that work hard to keep it that way. Attachments:

Asteroid Belt: ErosControlled by: The Gongen Gravity: Microgravity This small potato shaped asteroid is home to one of the largest shipyards in the solar system. It was originally settled as a mining operation in 2098. HanConglomerate reaped the rewards from this asteroid as they mined out tons of gold, platinum, and aluminum from it. HanConglomerate were based out of Hong Kong. The mines however are now mined out. Gongen nationalized the company and refitted all of the mining facilities into a massive shipyard. Attachments:

Asteroid Belt: JunoControlled by: Mavericks (The Regulators) Gravity: Microgravity Juno is an irregular chunk of rock, nickel, and iron spinning through the Asteroid Belt. It is one of the largest asteroids but it is smaller than Ceres. Juno was never mined by any Earth corporation. In 2273 however the Wendel-Obonga Group attempted to set up a mining operation here, but it was doomed from the start with the Gongen and Earth hostilities. Half of the facility depressurized killing most of the staff that was there during its set-up phase. The installation was the haven of a succession of criminals, vagrants, salvagers, and others that used it as a hideout. A rogue asteroid smashed into Juno in the near-distant past making a massive crater, which was later named Holdout Crater after Kelly "Holdout" O'Rourke who crashed her ship into it. Holdout Station was built in this crater. Holdout Station was refitted by a gang of Mavericks (The Regulators) in 2387. They were determined to bring law and justice to the Belt and the Outer Rim. Asteroid Belt: PallasControlled by: The Gongen Gravity: Microgravity Pallas was militarized in 2362 by The Gongen when the talks with Earth were not going well. At the urging of Shocho (the Artificial Intelligence) Pallas was set up as a defense against Maverick raiders. It was also a statement that The Gongen would not be bullied by a bunch of savages from the Outer Rim. Pallas is the furthest territory that The Gongen control in the solar system and it is used as a launch point for any missions towards the Outer Rim. Pallas briefly was controlled by a gang of Mavericks known as The Knaves, but their ownership only lasted 3 months until the battle-ravaged Gongen forces could take it back after the Battle of Phobos. The Knaves fled to Ganymede it is said. It is rumored that Shocho has built a secretive No-Bot specifically built to protect Pallas Station from future Maverick attacks. The base is limited to those in the Gongen military, but there have been exceptions made for civilians to enter the base from time to time. Attachments:

SeyalControlled by: Unknown (You will find out during the campaign) Mean Surface Temperature: 9 C / 48 F Gravity: High Seyal became part of the solar system in 2391 when it came through the Mumon Rift. It is slightly larger than Earth and orbits the Sun between the Asteroid Belt and Jupiter. It is 83% water. All of the exposed land masses are covered in civilization, and there are floating water cities as well that are in many of the shallow areas surrounding the land masses. Earth, Gongen, and Maverick scientists are unsure why Seyal has not frozen solid yet, and surprised that it still has liquid water on its surface. It is an enigma. Attachments:

The Mumon RiftThe Rift is an enormous hole in space and time, a gaping wound left by Seyal entering our solar system. It is unknown why the Rift doesn't close, but many scientists suspect that it is dangerous to existence itself. There have been no attempts to send any probes through it as of yet. None know if anything that would travel through it would have a chance for a return journey. A flood of strange unknown quantum particles are coming out of The Mumon Rift and their effects on humanity are yet unknown. One strange aspect of the Rift is that it does not revolve around the sun, but stays roughly fixed in space where it appeared between the Asteroid Belt and Jupiter. Attachments:

Jupiter's CallistoControlled by: Mavericks (A mix of all of the gangs) Mean Surface Temperature: -172 C / -278 F Gravity: Very Low The third largest moon after Ganymede and Titan is nearly large enough to be a planet in its own right. Its surface is scarred and blasted by impact craters. Sheltered settlements are housed in the largest of these craters. It was also easy to mine. Valhalla Base is where most of the population of Callisto live, and it is inside the largest crater on the moon. Other new settlements however are popping up where mineral deposits are being found. Some plans for terraforming are being discussed but anything they start will take a long time before any results are seen. Attachments:

Jupiter's EuropaControlled by: Mavericks (The Cartel) Mean Surface Temperature: -153 C / -243 F Gravity: Very Low Gravity Smallest of all of the 4 Galilean Moons, it is the 6th largest moon in the solar system. It is almost as smooth as a bowling ball with the tallest features being only 1 kilometer high. The surface is water ice that is 40 kilometers thick. Ice mining is big here. The ocean below is kept liquid by tidal friction. The crust spins at a different rate than does the planet's core and underneath ocean. The ocean is the name of the water beneath the ice as it covers the whole planet. The ice stores also have sulfur, magnesium, and iron. There were false claims of life that lead to many people settling this icy moon. There are now 3 million inhabitants in cities and in bases. Only docking bays and access points are on the surface while everything else lies beneath the ice. High speed monorails connect the various inhabited places. The Maverick gang The Cartel seized Earther and Gongen facilities during the Battle of Phobos (Gongen). The Gambler rules his fiefdom here without question. There have been several failed terraforming efforts here. Attachments:

Jupiter's GanymedeControlled by: Contested Mean Surface Temperature: -138 C / -216 F Gravity: Very Low Gravity Ganymede is the largest moon in the solar system. Every faction is vying for control of it. Mining complexes are built here for the vast mineral wealth that lies under the surface of this moon. It is free of regulations and laws. The largest facility is an Earther facility at Bekker's Trench. Near the edge of the Callisto Regio there is an ACGC mining complex that covers 17 square kilometers and reaches far underground. There is a good amount of water ice here as well. Traginium was found here though humanity doesn't understand its uses as of yet, and it is slightly radioactive. Attachments:
