Starting Kizen Powers (1/25/14)
Heat Sense Type: Energy (active) Kizen Tree: Fire Control Range: Touch Saving Throw: None Point Cost: 4 Action: Standard This power enables the kizen to detect warmth in an object, provided the heat is within 6 feet of the area touched. This can be used to determine if a ship’s weapons have recently been fired, or if a fire is raging on the other side of an insulated door. Once activated, this power lasts for a number of minutes equal to Wits + Kizen. The kizen usually ‘sees’ the fire as a field of flickering red and orange, but some ‘feel’ it as a shudder, others ‘hear’ it as roar like that of a furnace, and some ‘feel’ it as sharply defined ridges or areas of warmth or cold. A kizen using this power will usually have a slight glow or a faint smell of smoke. Similar effects accompany kindle abilities.
Lucky Guess Type: Mental (innate) Kizen Tree: Intuition Point Cost: 8 for innate; 5 for activation, see below Saving Throw: None Action: Free This is an innate power, but it is also consciously used by the kizen, at a cost of five points per activation. Any time the kizen needs to choose between two basically random alternatives, such as ‘left door’ or ‘right door’, he may spend five kizen points. The kizen must be told the ‘better’ choice, if one exists.

1) Your Kizen Point Pool starts at 20 points and you will get +3 additional points per session. In other words your pool of Kizen Points will continue to grow throughout the campaign.
1st Session: 20 2nd: 23 3rd: 26 4th: 29 5th: 32 6th: 35 7th: 38 8th: 41 9th: 44 10th: 47 etc.
2) Kizen Point Regeneration: You will naturally regenerate 25% of your maximum Kizen Point Pool per day. So if you had 100 points in your pool you would regenerate 25 per day. See Meditation below.
3) Meditation (Composure + Wits + Kizen + Equipment) is an extended action that is 30 minutes per roll. Each success (8, 9, 10) is a point of Kizen that is regenerated on top of the normal 25% regeneration rate. If your character uses the Meditation Chamber (the airlock) they get a +5 equipment bonus.
4) Kizen Powers are automatically brought forth into being, but if targeted against an intelligent target they get a Saving Throw which is either rolling Willpower, or rolling 2 of the 3 Resistance Stats.
5) The Maximum number of Kizen powers that can be manifested at the same time (including Innate ones) is equal to Int + the Kizen skill. Innate Kizen powers count against your Kizen point pool (those points are always used up for that innate power that is always on/up).

Your Kizen Point Pool is now at 23. You naturally regenerate 6 points per day if you don't get any more through meditation.
Kindle I Type: Energy (active) Kizen Tree: Fire Control Range: Touch Saving Throw: None Point Cost: 2 (or more) Action: Full Round
You create fire from nothing, making a tiny fire that can rest in the palm of your hand (taking no damage). This can be used as a light source. You can also ignite fires on flammable materials simply by touching them. For every 2 points spent this power lasts a number of rounds equal to your Stamina + Kizen Dots. The fire will burn for the duration of the power, but any flammable material touched will burn as normal. Without Oxygen this power will only create "a hot spot." You can make a touch attack (ignoring armor defense) and it deals 2 lethal damage per round.
Avoid Surprise Type: Mental (innate) Kizen Tree: Intuition Point Cost: 4 Saving Throw: None Action: -
While this power is up you have the Danger Sense merit. You are never surprised. You can always use your Defense.

Your Kizen Point Pool is now at 26. You naturally regenerate 7 points per day if you don't get any more through meditation.
People Sense Kizen Tree: Intuition Type: Mental (Active) Point Cost: 2 Range: Close Saving Throw: Willpower Action: Free
You can use this to get a quick 'read' of a person. During a conversation he tends to intuitively say the right thing. You get +1 on social rolls and it lasts for the whole conversation.
Resist Heat Kizen Tree: Fire Control Type: Energy (active) Range: Self Saving Throw: None Point Cost: 3 Action: Standard
You ignore the first 2 health damage per round from heat and fire. It lasts a number of rounds equal to your Stamina + Kizen Dots. You can sustain this power as a free action for 3 more points with the same duration.

Same as Kindle I, but the size of the fire is "small" instead of tiny.
Predict Action Kizen Tree: Intuition Type: Mental (Active) Point Cost: 3 Range: Close Saving Throw: Willpower Action: Free
Focus on a specific target. If they fail a Willpower roll you can anticipate that target's future actions for a # of rounds equal to your Wits + Kizen dots. The GM tells you their next actions.

5th Session Kizen Powers.
You now have 32 Kizen Points. You regenerate a minimum of 8 Kizen Points per day.
Find a Friend Type: Mental (active) Kizen Tree: Intuition Point Cost: 3 Range: Long Saving Throw: None Action: Free
You can find a person who can be helpful to you simply by wandering around a crowded area and following your gut instinct. The player must state roughly what kind of person that they are looking for. Role-playing will be needed to actually get them to help you.
Fire Aura Type: Energy (active) Kizen Tree: Fire Control Range: Personal Saving Throw: Willpower (see below) Point Cost: 3 Action: Standard
You surround yourself with a roaring field of flames, usually red but other colors can be manifested. You gain +1 to Defense, and anyone striking you takes 2 damage from the flames. They are also stunned for a round if they fail a Willpower roll (from the pain). Also +1D10 if you are attempting to intimidate someone.

This is the same as Fire Aura but you can use it offensively as well. Spend an additional 9 points per attack to deal 4 damage. These powers will manifest during the 8th session. You have 41 Kizen Points and you regain 21 points back per day (it seems that either you are closer to the RIFT or those bombs did something to you).
Fortune's Favor Type: Mental (innate) Kizen Tree: Intuition Point Cost: 8 for innate Saving Throw: - Action: -
You seem to pick the best option when presented with a choice. If you are disarming a bomb you cut the correct colored wire for instance. You can also re-roll your dice poo once per day.
Heat Sink Type: Energy (active) Kizen Tree: Fire Control Range: Touch Saving Throw: None, Willpower (Quay) Point Cost: Action: Standard
Every round that this power is in affect a targeted fire will reduce in intensity till it is gone. It lasts for a number of rounds equal to your Stamina + Kizen dots. If used against a Quay they get a Willpower Saving Throw or they are taking out of their Kundanaka Rage and are stunned for 3 rounds.

These powers will manifest during the 10th session (9th session powers included). You have 60 Kizen Points and you regain all of your spent points back per day. I gave you guys a bump in points and I think gaining all of your spent points back is easier to keep track of. Just make sure you guys keep track of how much you have spent on innate powers so you know how many you have left to spend on active ones.
Mass Predict Action Kizen Tree: Intuition Type: Mental (Active) Point Cost: 8 Range: Close Saving Throw: Willpower Action: Free
You can predict what everyone will do around you if they fail their saving throw. You can anticipate those targets' future actions for a # of rounds equal to your Wits + Kizen dots. The GM tells you their next actions. You also get +2 Defense and +1 dice vs. a single target that you designate every round (it can change).
Insulation Type: Energy (innate) Kizen Tree: Fire Control Range: Touch Saving Throw: None Point Cost: 4 Action: Standard
You can protect a number of people equal to your Stamina + Kizen in dots if you are all in contact from the damage from heat and fire. You need to have a Resist Heat power active however.
Luck of the Gods Type: Mental (innate) Kizen Tree: Intuition Point Cost: 10 Saving Throw: - Action: -

It is the same as the People Sense power but you get a +5 dice bonus.
Kindle Weapon Type: Energy (Active) Kizen Tree: Fire Control Point Cost: 5 Range: Touch Saving Throw: Dex + Athletics Action: Standard
Melee weapons and ranged projectiles and plasma get extra hot. You roll +2 dice when attacking with these weapons. If they fail their Saving Throw they take an additional 2 lethal damage per round until they make their Saving Throw. IT BURNS!!!

Kindle Weapon Type: Energy (Active) Kizen Tree: Fire Control Point Cost: 5 Range: Touch Saving Throw: Dexterity + Athletics Action: Free
Ranged and melee weapons that you touch get extra hot and let you roll +2 dice when using them for attacks. You can use this on plasma guns, on projectiles of guns, and on melee weapons. If the target fails a Dexterity + Athletics Saving Throw they catch on fire and will take an additional 2 lethal damage per round until they put out the flames.
Kindle III Type: Energy (Active) Kizen Tree: Fire Control Point Cost: 6 Range: Touch Saving Throw: None Action: Standard
This is the same as Kindle I but you can create a large fire. This fire burns for 10 rounds + one round for every dot of Stamina + Kizen. You can sustain this fire (if it isn't already still burning due to combustible materials) for 6 more points as a free action.

You have an innate ability to get quick random insights into things happening outside of your normal senses in areas around you up to a number of times per day equal to Wisdom + Kizen in dots. These are like quick visions of things going on in other rooms, beneath you under the floor, things happening upstairs, etc.
Resist Heat IV Type: Energy (Active) Kizen Tree: Fire Control Range: Self Saving Throw: None Point Cost: 8 Action: Standard
You ignore 8 points of damage per round of fire damage.

Surface is Illusion Type: Spiritual (Active) Kizen Tree: Clairvoyance Range: Touch Saving Throw: None Point Cost: 3 Action: Full Round
You can see through lids of boxes, through walls, through doors, etc. You could use this to look inside an engine to see what the problem is without even seeing it with your own eyes. This power lasts a number of minutes equal to Wits + Kizen. To use this ability you have to touch the surface that you are looking through.
Burst of Flame Type: Energy (Active) Kizen Tree: Fire Control Range: Close Saving Throw: Athletics + Dex Point Cost: 12 Action: Standard
A 10 foot wide, 40 foot long line of fire emenantes from your hand. All those that fail a saving throw take 8 lethal damage, and those that save take 4.
