Starting Kizen Powers (1/25/14).
Kizen Speed Type: Physical (innate) Kizen Tree: Kizen Speed Range: Personal Saving Throw: None Point Cost: 5 Action: - The kizen’s base speed increases by four yards per round. Add +4 to your Speed trait which is determined by adding Strength + Dexterity + 5 normally and is a number of yards you can move per round and still perform an action.
Sense Thoughts Type: Mental (active) Kizen Tree: Telepathy Range: Close Saving Throw: Intelligence + Resolve Negates Point Cost: 2 Action: Free This power enables the telepath to perceive the thoughts of those around him – not to read them, per se, but to perceive them, enabling him to be aware of any beings with minds, other than bots, within the range of the power. This power can be made innate at a cost of 20 points. While this is useful, it can also be problematic, as there is an ever present ‘buzz’ which can distract the kizen if he is regularly near to other minds. This results in a –1 dice penalty on all checks, unless the kizen makes a Int + Resolve roll, which allows him to ‘damp down’ the noise for an hour.

1) Your Kizen Point Pool starts at 20 points and you will get +3 additional points per session. In other words your pool of Kizen Points will continue to grow throughout the campaign.
1st Session: 20 2nd: 23 3rd: 26 4th: 29 5th: 32 6th: 35 7th: 38 8th: 41 9th: 44 10th: 47 etc.
2) Kizen Point Regeneration: You will naturally regenerate 25% of your maximum Kizen Point Pool per day. So if you had 100 points in your pool you would regenerate 25 per day. See Meditation below.
3) Meditation (Composure + Wits + Kizen + Equipment) is an extended action that is 30 minutes per roll. Each success (8, 9, 10) is a point of Kizen that is regenerated on top of the normal 25% regeneration rate. If your character uses the Meditation Chamber (the airlock) they get a +5 equipment bonus.
4) Kizen Powers are automatically brought forth into being, but if targeted against an intelligent target they get a Saving Throw which is either rolling Willpower, or rolling 2 of the 3 Resistance Stats.
5) The Maximum number of Kizen powers that can be manifested at the same time (including Innate ones) is equal to Int + the Kizen skill. Innate Kizen powers count against your Kizen point pool (those points are always used up for that innate power that is always on/up).

These powers will manifest sometime in the 2nd session.
Your Kizen Point Pool is now at 23. You naturally regenerate 6 points per day if you don't get any more through meditation.

Your Speed increases by +4 yards for a number of rounds equal to your Dexterity + Kizen Dots. Once it has been activated you can maintain it by spending 10 more points as a free action for an additional number of rounds equal to your Dexterity + Kizen Dots. Once this power expires it takes another standard action to turn it on again.
Surface Thoughts Type: Mental (active) Kizen Tree: Telepathy Range: Close Saving Throw: Intelligence + Resolve Negates Point Cost: 2 Action: Standard
You target a specific individual. The power lasts a number of rounds equal to your Intelligence + Kizen Dots. You can sense the surface thoughts of that target if they fail a Saving Throw. If the target gets 5 successes or more they know someone was attempting to read their thoughts.

This power sets up a two-way conversation between the Kizen and a target. Thoughts can be sent both ways. The Kizen can't read the target's mind, only what is willingly sent by the target. If Surface Scan or Deep Thoughts are also active however the hidden thoughts might be able to be read. You can only have one conversation at a time, but you can speak to a new target each round as a free action. This power lasts a number of minutes equal to your Int + Kizen dots. I certainly don't mind us no longer receiving more powers though. We're all pretty much demigods already.
